Little Derrick Payne

Derrick Payne was delivered June 29th 1997 to Derrick Michael and Rebecca June in Kennewick, WA. Derrick and I spent alot of time together in the hospital after his birth. Daddy likes to horde his kids from everyone. The whole family was there to welcome Derrick into our world. Mommy delivered via ceserean and was unconcious during and after delivery for about an hour. I still remember walking out of the op room holding my new boy, tears of joy that I couldnt hold back were rolling down my cheeks. Mimi, Nana and Jax was in the hallway when I walked out of that room, waiting to see our new little man.

Derrick has been extremely well mannered and very easy to make happy. Raising him has almost been too easy. Oh lovely, the teenage years are going to kill me. Derrick enjoys everything computer related (wonder where that comes from), and prefers Linux over Windows. He is very technical in thinking, but neglects to process easy things (just like dad!).

Currently he is enrolled in Tae Kwon Do and has earned two stripes. He is looking forward to recieving his yellow belt in the next month, once he has mastered his kata's (i know thats japanese, not korean = same meaning). Its pretty inevitable that Derrick is going to be like his father was growing up, so I am trying to equip him well for that. Derrick enjoys straightedge HC, skateboarding and removable tattoos!

We recently went to Safeco field to watch the Mariners and he got himself on the huge screen in center field which was really cool to see.
